The Status formed in 2003 with Ben Grant writing, guitarist/ vocalist Andy Thompson, drummer Mike Felker and Danny Grant (Ben's brother). Their first independent release appeared in 2006 and eventually led a tour with Bedlight for Blue Eyes, Sound the Alarm and Tokyo Rose. The guys eventually began working with Anthony of Bayside and released "So This is Progress" in October 2008.
