The Time Jumpers Background
It all started
back in 1998 when some musicians and vocalists assembled in Nashville initially as a casual gathering. The initial lineup
was comprised of Michael Blaustone, Danny Parks, Hoot Hester and Dennis Crouch. The group members at that time had only one
thing on their mind - fun! When the group first debuted in public, Crouch and Hester were joined by Kenny Malone, Andy Reiss,
Robert Bowlin, Aubrey Haynie and Johnny Cox. They didn't get together too often but eventually settled at the Station Inn
- which became their unofficial home. The Time Jumpers usually met there twice a month. Impromptu dressing room jam sessions
were also happening at the Grand Ole Opry while The Time Jumpers were waiting to lend their talents to support other artists.
It didn't take long for the Station Inn to host The Time Jumpers on a weekly basis and later on, Bowlin was replaced by Kenny
Sears, and Rick Vanaugh took over for Malone. Jeff Taylor also stepped into The Time Jumpers' lineup. Haynie exited the group
as well. Their album, On the Air, features Sears, Hester, Cox, Reiss, Crouch, Vanaugh and Taylor singing and playing various
instruments. The album also highlights Eddie Stubbs, the Grand Ole Opry announcer. In 2012, Vince Gill boarded and is included
on the group's eponymous album.
The Time Jumpers Albums
The Time Jumpers have evolved into an impressive
ensemble and have an even more impressive discography that brims with good tunes. Their studio albums include Jumpin' Time
(2007) and The Time Jumpers (2012).
