Formed in the summer of 2007, the four friends that make up The Young Rapscallions have been writing music together since
they have been playing their respective instruments. Pulling influences from an array of artists, the Rapscallions create
a powerful, raw sound that pulls from many different genres and styles to create a fresh sound that's taking rock music in
unprecedented new directions. Drawing on inspiration from the likes of The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam, The Young
Rapscallions have fashioned themselves into a 21st Century garage rock band that honors the genre by dabbling in
the past while steering it toward an exciting renaissance.
22-year-old actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse may be best known for his role as McLovin in the uproarious bromance, ode to
high school hijinks Superbad, he's about to be known for something else, being a wildly talented drummer in the band The Young
Rapscallions. Along with his band mates, these four Southern Californian phenoms have been making music for years and are
just starting to unleash their talents on the rock world, and now that they're here, they're making all sorts of waves. Their
debut album was a smash hit, and critics and audiences are anxious to see what superbad sound they come up with next!
After releasing their first full-length album in 2011, The Young Rapscallions were showered with critical acclaim and heralded
as one of the hot young bands doing great things with rock music. On their latest tour, the band is introducing audiences
to their catchy, earthy sound that's been described as grunge with polish. From the first blistering note, concertgoers are
treated to a concert experience that's delightfully refreshing, just the thing rock music needed. The fact that the band has
McLovin on the drums is the cherry on top!
When you see a band live for the first time you probably tend to be a bit more judgmental, criticizing the band from the
pitch of vocals, rhythm of the guitar and how heavy the drummer plays the snare. This is especially so if there's a celebrity
in the band, making you question if the band is legit or if it's just a vanity project. From the very first note of a Young
Rapscallions' show, all fears are immediately put to rest. These guys know how to play and how to rock, and they are doing
it better than anybody else. They play for the love of making great live music, and it's that motivation that has generated
fantastic music and poises The Young Rapscallions to take the rock world by storm. Head over to StubHub to get your rock tickets to see these incredible performers live!
