Tigers - Astros Schedule

The Detroit Tigers and Houston Astros are ready to take to the diamond in 2014 to face off in an American League clash that could be one for the ages. These teams have not many that many times over the course of their histories, but that should change. Now that the Tigers and Astros are playing in the same league, they'll be facing off much more often, helping to build a great rivalry in the process as both take aim at the top of the American League. There has never been a better time to ditch the couch so you can see a great game absolutely filled to the brim with some of the best ballplayers in the world, as Tigers-Astros matchups are filled with players that know how to change the score in a hurry. These two teams will match up for a three-game series at Minute Maid Park in Houston, TX this season that will run from June 27th to June 29th and should be one heck of a three-game stint for both clubs.

The Tigers have real hopes of taking home the American League Central crown this season, and that's because they have some of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball. Flamethrower Max Scherzer is coming off a 2013 season in which he won the AL CY Young Award, and don't forget about former Cy Young winner Justin Verlander. With a one-two pitching punch like that this club is always dangerous. Factor in slugger Miguel Cabrera and the rest of a potent Detroit lineup, and the Astros know they're going to have their hands full in June.

The Astros are looking to make their mark on the American League West this season, and the division is still relatively new territory for this club. The team is hoping to make a splash with some of their youngsters, such as slugger George Springer, whom many scouts think have a future as a star player in the MLB ranks. Get out to see the Astros take on the Tigers this season.
