Tim McGraw is the son of famous baseball player, Frank Edwin "Tug" McGraw Jr., but Tim didn't discover this
fact until he was 11 years old. McGraw was raised believing that his stepfather was his biological father, and when Tim turned
18 years old, Tug finally acknowledged paternity. He and Tim became close, and they maintained a strong relationship until
Tug's death in 2004. Based on his father's profession, it should come as no surprise that Tim McGraw was a highly athletic
