About The Artist
in 1957 Germany, Tim Reynolds moved around wherever his father would be stationed for much of his childhood, eventually finding
himself in Charlottesville, Virginia where he found a multitude of genre styles such as jazz fusion and experimental music
that before were rare to him. But while he was still a child, Tim found himself drawn to the guitar, finding a chance to showcase
his talents at an early age by performing several times a week for his church. Showing a natural talent that few have at such
a young age, by the age of 12 he was already experimenting with his music and showing talents in soul, rock, and funk music.
It was when he moved to Charlottesville that he found himself taking to the stage repeatedly, jamming out for audiences all
over. In the early 90's he formed his band "Tim Reynolds Three", often referred to as "TR3", and found himself playing a wide
array of other instruments. Since then he has released a slew of albums as a solo artist, with TR3, and most notably as the
lead guitarist with the Dave Matthews Band.
While Tim had grown has talents over the
years, travelling all over and learning new styles and genres to implement into his talented and stylistic form of playing,
culminating in his debut album "Stream" in 1993, the same year that he collaborated with Dave Matthews on that debut album
"Remember Two Things". And while he has released eight more studio albums for his solo career, he has found the most mainstream
success with the Dave Matthews Band, although he has a devoted following. So it seems that right off the bat that Tim Reynolds
showed his talents and bared his soul on "Stream", growing his talents even further from there and infusing his music with
a variation of other styles.
Tim Reynolds Trivia
After years of growing his talent and going around recruiting
others for the mission of bringing music to the world, it should be surprising to most that one of the people that Tim Reynolds
talked into going forward into music was none other than Dave Matthews. It was when Reynolds was playing in a local bar in
the Charlottesville, Virginia area that he found Dave Matthews, at the time a bartender, and eventually encouraging him to
pursue a band of his own. From there the friendship between the two grew and they continued to perform together throughout
the years as a duo of sorts, both in the Dave Matthews Band and through Dave Matthews and Friends. They still work together
to this day, although their style and live shows differ somewhat.
Gaining experience and
honing his craft throughout the years, anyone who is lucky enough to make it out to one of Tim Reynold's shows are definitely
in for a great time filled with great music. There's no denying the skill that Tim has when he takes to the stage and begins
strumming out any of his myriad of hits, and his stage presence will make you beyond glad that you made it out to see him
perform live, as it is unlike anything you've seen before. There's good reason that Tim has been a part of so many successful
bands, and you'll quickly be able to understand when you see him perform live on the stage. So be sure to grab a friend to
bring along for the ride as you won't want to be alone when you bare witness to the glorious show that Tim Reynolds puts on.
