Tim Tebow played quarterback for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets. He played college football for the University of Florida, and went on to win the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and appear on BCS National Championship-winning teams in the 2006 and 2008 seasons. Tebow was chosen by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Tebow became the University of Florida Gators' starting quarterback in the midst of the 2007 season when he became the first college sophomore to receive the Heisman Trophy. In 2008, Tebow led Florida to a 13–1 record and its second national championship in the span of three years, and was named the national championship game's offensive MVP. The Gators went 13–1 once again in 2009, which was his senior year. When his college career ended, he held the Southeastern Conference's all-time records in both career passing efficiency and total rushing touchdowns, and appeared second and tenth (respectively) in the NCAA record book in these categories.

While playing with the Denver Broncos, he began the final three games of his rookie season and became the team's full-time starting quarterback starting in the sixth game of 2011. Although the Broncos were 1–4 before he assumed the position of starter, they started winning with him on the field, and often came from behind late in the fourth quarter until they won their first AFC West title and first playoff game since 2005, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime. Tebow was traded to the New York Jets in the middle of the offseason after the Broncos recruited free agent quarterback Peyton Manning. Tebow received little playing time for the Jets. In April 2013, the Jets let Tebow go, and drafted quarterback Geno Smith. Tebow then signed a two-year, non-guaranteed contract with New England on June 11, 2013, but later got cut from the team on August 31, 2013. On December 30, 2013, ESPN hired Tebow as a college football analyst.

On May 31, 2011, Tebow released the book Through My Eyes, an autobiography that Tebow co-wrote with author Nathan Whitaker. In the book, Tebow discusses his early life growing up in Jacksonville and the Philippines, in addition to his experiences as a college football player. The book went on to spend 24 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. It was also named the #1 sports book of 2011 and the best-selling religion book of 2011. Tebow later decided to publish a young readers' edition of that memoir, titled Through My Eyes: A Quarterback's Journey.

Tebow is well-known for being a devout Christian. In the Philippines, Tebow preached the Christian Gospel to children and entire villages, and provided assistance in medical care. Tebow is a supporter of over 40 evangelists across that nation. In the United States, he has spoken about his Christian faith at prisons, schools, churches, meetings, and conferences.

Tebow was invited to co-host ABC News' Good Morning America on January 31, 2014, a short time before Super Bowl XLVIII, and partnered with Eli Manning on the morning show. He is also currently a spokesperson for Nike, Jockey International, FRS Health Energy, and TiVo.

In 2011, Tebow became the first quarterback to be featured in ESPN's "Year of the Quarterback" series. The documentary, titled Tim Tebow: Everything in Between, captured his journey as he made his way from the 2010 Sugar Bowl to the 2010 NFL Draft. The doc premiered on January 6, 2011. On November 8, 2011, the documentary came out on DVD. Tebow was later featured in 2012 on NFL Network's A Football Life in a documentary called The Faces of Tebow.
