Toronto Argonauts Tickets

Toronto Argonauts tickets

Toronto Argonauts Schedule in 2014

The Toronto Argonauts are ready to do whatever it takes to rack up the wins this season against some of the top teams in the entire Canadian Football League. The Argonauts have a team that look very promising in 2014, but they'll have to execute on the field to make good on that promise. Toronto plays in the East Division of the CFL, where they compete with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The Argonauts are coming off a 2013 season in which they finished with the best record in the East. The team received a first-round bye in the playoffs due to their regular season success, but they could not get past the Tiger-Cats in the Division Finals. That loss certainly stung, as the Tiger-Cats are a big rival of the Argonauts, so Toronto is sure to hit the field in 2014 motivated to make plays.

The Argonauts are certainly looking forward to October 10th this season when Hamilton comes to town. Toronto would love to get their revenge on the team that bounced them from the postseason in 2013, and a victory would also mean a lot in the standings. Hamilton will return to the Rogers Centre on October 25th for another matchup, one that is sure to bring out the fans in droves. There are plenty of other exciting matchups coming to the Rogers Centre this season, and you can be there to be a part of all the action up close and personal. Take a look at the schedule and check out the great games on the docket.

Fan Experience

The Canadian Football League has earned a reputation for providing fans with some incredible action every time two of its teams hit the field to do battle. Football is one of the most popular sports in North America, and the fans come out in droves to see it played in person. That's the best way to witness the action, in person, and anyone that has been to a big CFL game can attest to that. The atmosphere of the crowd is electric whenever the Toronto Argonauts take to the field, and that is something that every CFL fan has to experience for themselves on at least on occasion. Once you've done it once, though, you're likely to be hooked. Watching the game on TV will pale in comparison to being there in the stands surrounded by some of the most passionate sports fans in the world. Nothing beats the experience of seeing the Argonauts take down a rival in a close game, so make sure to check out the schedule this season and be there for all the biggest contests.

Toronto Argonauts History

The Toronto Argonauts have been part of the CFL tickets market for decades. In fact, no North American professional sports franchise is older than the Toronto Argonauts, who were founded in 1873, when the Toronto Rowing Club needed a training activity for the off-season. "The Boatmen," as they have since been sometimes called, dominated the early CFL and long stretches during the 80's and 90's. The Argonauts have had more recent success as well, claiming the Grey Cup in 2012 after a memorable postseason run. With 16 different Grey Cup wins spread out over nine decades, the Argonauts have one of the richest histories in professional sports in North America, and every game is steeped with tradition when the Argonauts hit the field. Over the years, the Argonauts got so used to winning titles that they thought they would just keep doing exactly that. Outside of the 60s and 70s, when they had a brief lull in the franchise, the Argonauts have won a title every decade since first winning it all back in 1914.

Toronto Argonauts Trivia

Did you know that former National Football League star running back Ricky Williams was once a member of the Toronto Argonauts?

That's right; when Williams was faced with a suspension form the NFL he crossed the border to play for Toronto. His stint in the CFL was brief, though, as an injury derailed his only season with the team. Williams had some incredible seasons for the Miami Dolphins in the NFL after being a standout in college.

Toronto Argonauts Fans

Toronto football fans have always clamored to see their "Argos" go head-to-head with other CFL teams, especially their hated rivals, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and it's these matchups where you might just see the intensity at the highest levels. If you crave hard-hitting CFL action and a team deep with tradition and promise, then you'll want to pick up your Argonauts tickets fast to see this team hit the field at the Rogers Centre. As soon as you're there watching the action and feeling the energy in the stadium rise for all the crucial moments of a big game, you'll see that there is still no duplicating the live football experience.
