Trace Adkins Background

Trace Adkins was introduced to music at an early age, as his father handed him a guitar when he was just a young boy. He soon discovered his love for singing, as well, and he joined a gospel music group in high school, and the group called themselves the New Commitments. By the early 1990s, Adkins realized that he needed to pursue his musical dreams, so he moved to Nashville and started playing on the local honky tonk scene. One day, a Capitol Nashville executive saw Adkins performing, and he immediately signed him to the label. Just like that, Trace Adkins had scored his way into the music industry.

In 1996, Trace Adkins released his debut album, Dreamin' Out Loud. The album was a smash hit, spawning country favorites like "Every Light in the House" and "(This Ain't) No Thinkin' Thing". In 2003, Adkins was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, a huge honor for any country artist. Earning membership to the Grand Ole Opry solidified Adkins' place in the music industry as a major force to be reckoned with, and for over the next decade, he would continue cranking out one hit song after another. Trace Adkins has embarked on one majorly successful tour after another over the course of his career, and he has appeared in countless television shows, films, and has even written his own book, A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Free-Thinking Roughneck.

Whether he is acting, competing on The Apprentice, or performing a show for deployed soldiers, you can always count on Trace Adkins to give it everything he's got. He is one of the most talented and hard-working artists in the country music world, and his growing stack of awards and accolades are proof.
