Born in Austin, Minnesota, and later becoming a resident of Buena Vista, Colorado, Bundy learned to play the guitar when
he was just 11 years old. He met Jonah Werner, a renowned acoustic folk songwriter in his own right, in high school. Soon
he and Werner were holding court at a Buena Vista coffee shop. The musical pair mostly dabbled in folk music, playing Jack
O' Pierce. When Trace Bundy met Tim Thornton from Newcomers Home, he started playing Cat Stevens and Bob Dylan tunes. Bundy
attended the University of Colorado at Boulder with Thornton and Werner, and still continues to play with them occasionally.
He was also inspired by the music of Ani DiFranco and Phil Keaggy. Trace Bundy has been able to polish his craft in a unique
way, playing with all five fingers without using a pick. If you'd like to experience Trace Bundy live, make sure you go to
