Last season was a thrill ride for Thunder fans as the Trenton, NJ team took on every opponent with strength and skill and crushed the competition at every turn. The talented team had an exciting run in the playoffs, defeating the Harrisburg Senators in the Eastern League Championships to give them their third league title since 2007. Trenton Thunder the Experience

Baseball has been around for a long time, dating all the way back to the 19th century and giving fans many great moments over the years. Though things have changed quite a bit since the early days, the game is still as exciting as ever, as Minor League Baseball routinely brings together some of the most skilled ballplayers in the world to battle it out on the diamond in a game that is sure to be filled with bench-gripping moments that you'll be talking about a long time after the final pitch. It's definitely tempting to just catch the highlights or the box score on your smart phone, but the only way to really follow the Thunder is to actually be there and watch your favorite teams storm the diamond for a highly anticipated matchup.

Trenton Thunder History

The Trenton Thunder has had a long and storied history. The team formed in 1980, and was an affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. They were, at that point, based in Glens Falls, NY, and became an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox during their time in New York. But when the franchise moved to London, Ontario, the team took on the name London Tigers and played at Labatt Park. But in 1994, the team moved once again to Trenton, NJ, where they have established themselves as a huge powerhouse in the Class-AA and found a large fan base. So large in fact that in the first few seasons in their new home more than 400,000 fans visited the park, making them one of the most followed teams in the minor leagues.
