T.S. Monk became interested in music at a very young age. He began his career in the 1970s, honing his skills and perfecting
his craft. His music life changed when Max Roach, whom he studied with, gave him a drum set when he was 9-years-old. Because
he was focused on his music, he didn't always do very well in school. But he managed to graduate high school and began touring
with his father's trio. After his father retired, the young musician began dabbling in R&B music and toured with a band called
Natural Essence. After his stint with the band, he started a musical group that included his sister Barbara. By the 1980s,
Monk had created his own band and featured himself on the drums and occasional lead vocals. The group's first album, House
of Music, was a successful venture, yielding several hig songs that placed on the Billboard R&B chart. Since that time,
the musician has released more of his own music, and has continued to make a name for himself in the music world. Don't miss
