Tyson Events Center History
The Tyson Events Center is a Sioux City, Iowa multipurpose arena that first opened
in December of 2003 and has been one of the most popular destinations in the area for more than a decade. The venue was originally
constructed as expansion of the Sioux City Municipal Auditorium which is now the Long Lines Family Recreation Center. There

hockey courtesy of the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL and professional arena football featuring the Sioux City bandits

Tyson Events Center is also home to big time concerts and has hosted performances by Britney Spears, Neil Diamond, Aerosmith,
Fleetwood Mac, 311, Creed, Rob Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne, Theresa Caputo, Carrie Underwood, the Offspring, and many more. Occasionally
comedians take the stage at Tyson Events Center and Larry the Cable Guy has left the audience at the arena in stitches several

Tyson Events Center hosts several college sports tournaments including the NAIA Women's Volleyball
National Tournament, the NAIA Wrestling National Tournament, and the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Tournament
which was won two years in a row, in 2005 and 2006, by the hometown Morningside College Mustangs.
