have happened over the years. Pro Football Hall of Famers like Troy Aikman, Jimmy Johnson, Bob Waterfield and Tom Fear are
just some of the big names that have played for the Bruins, and you never know when the next transcendent talent is going

Did you know that Troy Aikman won the school's first Davey O'Brien Award?
Given to the best quarterback
in the nation, the Davey O'Brien Award celebrates only the best of the best, but that's exactly what Aikman was after transferring
over from Oklahoma in the late-1980s. After that, Aikman would go on to become one of the top quarterbacks of his generation
in the NFL as well, winning two Super Bowls over the Buffalo Bills and spending his entire Hall of Fame career in Dallas as
the signal caller for the Cowboys.
UCLA Bruins Football History
The UCLA Bruins have several conference
championship titles to date, including conference wins dating back to the 1930s, when head coach William Spaulding led the
Bruins to their first PCC win in 1935. Five more PCC wins (in 1942, 1946, 1953, 1954 and 1955) took the Bruins through the
mid-'50s, and the team also won three AAWU championship titles (in 1959, 1961 and 1965) before the conference was evolved
into the Pac-8 (then 10, then 12). The Bruins then really rose into dominance in the 1980s, winning four Pac-10 championships
in six years (1982, 1983, 1985, 1987). The Bruins also won the Pac-10 in 1993, 1997 and 1998, although they are still looking
for their first win in the Pac-12. With their eyes on taking the next step in the Pac-12, there has never been a better time
to get out and see the Bruins do their thing.
