Utah Utes Football Schedule
Salt Lake City, Utah really comes alive every year when the college football season
begins and the hometown Utah Utes spring into action. The Utes compete in the PAC 12 one of the best conferences in all of
college football which means that year in and year out they face off against schools including UCLA, USC, Stanford, Oregon,
and many of the other top college football programs in the country. Utah is coming off of a rough year that saw them finish
near the bottom of the PAC 12 South, but as the season gets closer expectations for the Utes in 2014 continue to climb. Spring
ball showed that Utah will be solid at running back with Bubba Poole at the top of the depth chart and Devontae Booker and
Troy McCormick also helping to carry the load. Running back is not the only position with depth, and these three talented
ball carriers will be protected by a solid offensive line that not only is deep but also experienced. Additionally, the secondary
showed a lot of improvement in the spring and will be anchored by veteran safety Brian Blechen.
The first PAC 12 regular
season home game for the Utah Utes takes place at Rice Eccles Stadium on September 27th when the Washington State Cougars
come to Salt Lake City. All conference games are important, especially for teams like Utah who are looking to establish themselves
as one of the best teams in the PAC 12 so the Utes will be looking for every bit of home field advantage they can get. The
following home game is against perennial contenders the USC Trojans who come to town on October 25th. Still a relative newcomer
to the PAC 12, the Utes can use all of the wins they can get against the conference big boys to show that they are a force
to be reckoned with in the conference. Another big time PAC 12 battle takes place at Rice Eccles Stadium on November 8th when
the Oregon Ducks take on the Utes. The Ducks have been one of the best teams in the country over recent years and a win against
them would be huge for the Utes and their postseason aspirations. There are plenty of other great games at Rice Eccles Stadium
in 2014 including games against Idaho State, Fresno State, and Arizona. Get tickets to all of these big games right here on
StubHub and head out to cheer on the Utes.
Utah Utes fans have every reason to be excited for
the 2014 season as the team will be returning starting quarterback Travis Wilson along with his favorite target, wide receiver
Dres Anderson and the offensive line should give Wilson plenty of time to throw based on impressive performances during spring
ball. Last season did not go exactly according to plan for the Utes but they scored a some big wins and lost close battles
against other teams in the conference that could have drastically improved their division standing had just one or two plays
gone the other way. This could be a huge turnaround year for Utah and real fans will want to be a part of it right from opening
Utah Utes football is a tradition in Salt Lake City, one that brings family,
friends, and neighbors together to share in the excitement. Rooting for your alma mater or favorite school and watching the
student athletes put it all on the line for school pride and a shot at playing at the next level is one of the most intense
feelings in all of sports. College football fans plan their entire Saturday to celebrate everything that comes with the game.

stadium, fans join together to make as much noise as possible and help the home team leave with a victory. It is incredibly
thrilling to be in the crowd when the star player takes the ball into the end zone for a big win. When you head out for a
Utah Utes football game you are sure to experience all of the excitement that comes with a top tier college football game.

on a few beverages as well. It's all one big lead up to the main event, which is the game itself. There is simply no better
way to spend a day off than at a college football game cheering and celebrating with thousands of other hard core fans.
Utah Utes PAC 12 Football
The Utes play in the PAC 12 conference which is traditionally one of the best conferences
in all of football. One of the things that makes the PAC 12 so special is that each of the schools who were members of the
PAC 10 have in-state rivals with whom they engage in bitter battles each season. Teams like USC, Oregon, Stanford, and UCLA
are the traditional powerhouses in the conference but all of the other schools in the conference are capable of pulling off
big upsets and seemingly coming from out of nowhere to win their division as Arizona State did in 2013 when they emerged as
the champions of the PAC 12 South. If you are looking to see some of the best college football games of the year featuring
athletes competing at the highest level you have come to the right place in the PAC 12.
Utes joined the PAC 12 in 2011, but the history of football at the school dates all the way back to 1892 when the Utes went
1-2. For the first several years of the program's existence they payed as an independent team before joining the Rocky Mountain
Conference in 1910. In 1937 the Utes joined the Big Seven Conference where they played before joining the Skyline Conference
in 1948. In 1962 it was off to the Western Athletic which the Utes called home until joining the Mountain West Conference
in 1999 which was their home until they joined the PAC 12 following the 2011 season.
