more than a century, helping to make them one of the strongest traditions of football in the entire country – a legacy
loaded with great players that have gone on to make a big impact on the next level. Seven USC Trojans have won the Heisman
Trophy: Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, Charles White, O.J. Simpson, Mike Garrett, and Marcus Allen. The USC football
program began in 1888 and in more than 125 years the Trojans have won eleven national championships and have had more former
players drafted into the NFL than any other school with more than 480. With that type of success both in the past and in the

Did you know that Marcus Allen had more than 2,500 yards from scrimmage during his 1981 season
with the Trojans?
By the time Allen was entering his final season for the Trojans, he was already a star, but Allen
took his game to the next level by scampering for 2,342 rush yards and adding 217 yards receiving. At the end of the year,
Allen was easily named the year's Heisman and would end up getting snagged by the Raiders with the 10th pick of the 1982 NFL
