After wrapping up with USC, Allen quickly became known as one of the most versatile running backs in the game while playing for the Los Angeles Raiders. Though he was also a major threat on the ground, Allen helped to revolutionize the position by coming out of the backfield and adding major yards through the passing game. Allen's receiving efforts culminated in his insane 1984 season, in which he racked up 758 yards receiving to give him 1,926 all-purpose yards that year.
