Utah Jazz Schedule in 2014-15

The Utah Jazz are ready to make sweet music on the basketball court this season as they take on some of the top teams in the National Basketball Association. The Jazz are looking to make strides on the hardwood this season as their young talent develops into more consistent players. Utah struggled in 2013-14, but are looking to bounce back. This team has one of the most promising stockpiles of young players in the league, and fans are extremely excited about the future of this organization. The Jazz will look to play well at home this season, but playing in the Western Conference means that a slew of tough teams will be coming to Salt Lake City this season to face off with the Jazz. Fans will pack the stands to see the Jazz take on some of the best teams in the conference and beyond, and you can be there yourself to see the action unfold right before your eyes.

The Jazz will definitely be looking to play at a high level when the Oklahoma City Thunder come to town this season. The Thunder were able to win the Northwest Division last season and post the second-best record in the Western Conference. With two star players in Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, the Thunder are one of the top teams in the entire NBA, and the Jazz will certainly have their hands full with this duo when the Thunder come to town this season. If the Jazz can get a couple of wins against this top opponent, it would serve as huge confidence boost for this young group.

Utah will also look to step up its game when the Portland Trail Blazers visit Salt Lake City this season. The Blazers have a pair of players in LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard that are capable dominating on the court on any given night. The Jazz will have to slow down these guys if they're going to emerge from any matchup with Portland with a victory. If the Jazz can play team ball and buckle down on the defensive end, they certainly have the talent to make some waves, even against a team like the Blazers. There will be plenty of other big games on the schedule this season as well.

Utah Jazz Team Info

The Utah Jazz are looking rise in the ranks of the Western Conference this season, as they've got loads of young talent that the organization is looking to develop. The Jazz handed out a big contract to Gordon Hayward this season, keeping the talented swingman in Utah for the next several years. Hayward put up his best totals last season, but struggled with efficiency due to the departure of some key veterans last offseason. The Jazz used the fifth pick in the 2014 NBA Draft on Australian guard Dante Exum, and the franchise has high hopes for him. Exum is a 6'6" guard that can play both positions in the backcourt, and could be a good fit alongside 2014 first-round pick Trey Burke. The Australian has drawn comparisons to Penny Hardaway, which has to be encouraging for Utah fans. The Jazz are looking to see some offensive development from big man Derrick Favors this season. Favors is already a defensive force down low, and if his offense catches up to his defense prowess then he could quickly become one of the best forwards in the league. The Jazz will also look to other youngsters like Alec Burks, Enes Kanter and rookie Rodney Hood to progress and help turn this team into a playoff contender. It may be a little early to be talking playoffs for such a youthful team, but after seeing what the Phoenix Suns were able to do in 2013-14 anything is possible for a young unit that is well-coached. With new head coach Quinn Snyder manning the sidelines, the Jazz are looking to make some serious strides in 2014-15.
