Austin’s famed nightclub Emo’s opened to the public in the early 1990s and has hosted the annual Emissions from the Monolith festival since 2007. The originally-punk venue and famed water hole has hosted legendary acts like Johnny Cash and also hundreds of up-and-coming rock ‘n’ roll and other gigs since its opening. Capacity for the venue is 600 patrons.
Emo’s Austin is a small concert venue located in the heart of Sixth Street that is known for its live music and vivacious crowd. The nightclub sports two stages (indoor and outdoor), a bar and a beer garden for patrons over 21. All shows at the venue are all-ages unless otherwise noted. Hours of operation vary. Visa and MasterCard are accepted at Emo’s. Cameras, drugs, weapons and outside beverages are prohibited.
