To maintain a friendly environment, the venue has a code of conduct. Here are things to avoid:
- Standing on chairs
- Fighting, drunk or disorderly conduct, mooning
- Interfering with the game
- Igniting flames or matches
- Throwing objects or liquids
- Using profanity or offensive words
- Taunting players or referees
There are 2 ATMs on the premises. Find one behind Section 113 on the south concourse, and the other outside the administrative offices near the Convention Center.
There are alcoholic beverages for sale on the premises, and standard stadium rules apply ¿ you'll need to show ID, purchases are limited to 2 beverages per guest, and guests who appear to be intoxicated won't be served.
Large bags and backpacks aren't allowed inside, and guests are subject to search when entering.
Small personal cameras may be okay, but video cameras or audio recording devices are not allowed.
Kids 2 and under get in free for most events but need to sit on an adult's lap. Call 361.826.4744 to check for the event you're attending.
American Bank Center is entirely ADA-accessible. For courtesy wheelchairs or listening devices, check with the guest services centers. Elevators, escalators, and restrooms are all accessible.
You can find disabled parking in Lots 1, 2, 3, and 21.
If you need accessible seating when you arrive at the arena, contact guest services, behind Section 111, to be relocated. It's best, however, to make arrangements in advance.
Service animals are allowed, but must be leashed.
Find the first aid station on the east concourse, behind Section 106. It will be staffed with trained medical professionals.
With the exception of baby food or formula, you can't bring in your own food or drink. If you have special dietary needs or restrictions, call guest services in advance at 361.826.4763.
While opening times may vary, you can usually count on doors opening 1 hour before the event begins.
There are a few things that aren't allowed inside.
- Weapons of any kind, including knives with blades over 2" in length
- Explosisves or fireworks
- Handcuffs
Re-entry is generally only allowed in the case of a medical emergency - such as retrieved medicine from a vehicle - and guests must first contact a guest services manager.
Signs and banners are usually welcome, but must follow a few guidelines:
- Signs must be event related
- They can't be attached to sticks or poles
- 11"x17" is the upper size limit
- Don't obstruct sponsor or advertiser signage
- Hanging or attaching it to the building isn't allowed
- No obscene or offensive language
- Don't obstruct the view of other guests
Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas. You can find one behind the guest services area near the east entrance, and on the City View Terrace on the second floor behind Section 106.
You can visit the on-site box office Monday - Friday, from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Central time. It's right outside the main doors, on Resaca St. On Saturday or Sunday it opens 2 hours before show time.
