There are plenty of parking options on both Arena property and within the surrounding area. Lots close to the arena fill quickly on event days. Check the 3 to 4 blocks south of the arena for more private lots and street parking.
Generally, parking rates are $5.00 USD a day, but may vary ($10.00 USD for premium parking; special pricing for oversized vehicles). Private lots may charge more.
During big events, the RTA Bayfront Express shuttles guests from the Memorial Coliseum to the American Bank Center Arena. To find out more information, click here.
To maintain a friendly environment, the venue has a code of conduct. Here are things to avoid:
There are 2 ATMs on the premises. Find one behind Section 113 on the south concourse, and the other outside the administrative offices near the Convention Center.
There are alcoholic beverages for sale on the premises, and standard stadium rules apply ¿ you'll need to show ID, purchases are limited to 2 beverages per guest, and guests who appear to be intoxicated won't be served.
Large bags and backpacks aren't allowed inside, and guests are subject to search when entering.
Small personal cameras may be okay, but video cameras or audio recording devices are not allowed.
Kids 2 and under get in free for most events but need to sit on an adult's lap. Call 361.826.4744 to check for the event you're attending.
American Bank Center is entirely ADA-accessible. For courtesy wheelchairs or listening devices, check with the guest services centers. Elevators, escalators, and restrooms are all accessible.
You can find disabled parking in Lots 1, 2, 3, and 21.
If you need accessible seating when you arrive at the arena, contact guest services, behind Section 111, to be relocated. It's best, however, to make arrangements in advance.
Service animals are allowed, but must be leashed.
Find the first aid station on the east concourse, behind Section 106. It will be staffed with trained medical professionals.
With the exception of baby food or formula, you can't bring in your own food or drink. If you have special dietary needs or restrictions, call guest services in advance at 361.826.4763.
While opening times may vary, you can usually count on doors opening 1 hour before the event begins.
There are a few things that aren't allowed inside.
Re-entry is generally only allowed in the case of a medical emergency - such as retrieved medicine from a vehicle - and guests must first contact a guest services manager.
Signs and banners are usually welcome, but must follow a few guidelines:
Smoking is only permitted in the designated smoking areas. You can find one behind the guest services area near the east entrance, and on the City View Terrace on the second floor behind Section 106.
You can visit the on-site box office Monday - Friday, from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Central time. It's right outside the main doors, on Resaca St. On Saturday or Sunday it opens 2 hours before show time.
