The stadium houses the home games of the University of Arizona’s football team. The Arizona Stadium was first built in 1928 and housed 7,000 fans. There have been major renovations over the years, giving the stadium a capacity of around 56,000. The last expansion occurred in 1988, which left room for future expansions if necessary.
For football games at Arizona Stadium, there is a Sun Tran shuttle service that will take fans to games from Hi-Corbett Field, the Tucson Mall and the El Pueblo Neighborhood Center. For a round-trip ticket, the cost is $2 for adults and children over five years old. Seniors 65 and older, people with disabilities and Medicare cardholders are changed $1. Children five and under are free. Tokens can be bought at the boarding locations.
