The Bangor Auditorium is part of the Bangor Civic Center that has 22,000 square feet of multi-purpose areas for state fairs and more. It first opened in 1955 as the second largest venue in New England. The auditorium has hosted the Eastern Maine basketball tournament and seen performances from Gene Autry, Garth Brooks, along with presidential town meetings (Jimmy Carter) and a NBA game (Boston Celtics and Syracuse Nationals).
The box office is located at the general offices of the Bass Park Complex, just past auditorium entrance. The box office hours are 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. Camcorders, smoking or recording is prohibited. Outside food or beverage is not permitted inside the auditorium. Children#25;s rules vary with each specific event. Accessible seating is available.
