Almost 3,800 fans can fit into the Berry Events Center, with standing room for 400 more and 16 luxury boxes that make any game all the more exciting. Besides basketball games, the Berry Events Center is well known for its hockey and speed skating teams. Concerts and major events are also hosted there, ranging from musical performances by Dierks Bentley to comedy by Bill Cosby.
Since 1999, the Berry Events Center has been pleasing Northern Michigan University athletics fans, who have come to watch their local teams, The Wildcats, excel in various sports, including basketball and hockey. The venue was named after NMU alum John Berry, who donated $2 million to the facility to help construct it.
