The BGSU Ice Arena has been open on the campus for over four decades, and remains a place of recreation for 11 months out of the year. The university broke ground for the arena in 1965 and it was completed in late 1966. At the time, it cost $1.8 million to build and has since been through additions and renovations.
Smoking and smokeless tobacco are not allowed in the BGSU Ice Arena. Animals other than service animals are also not allowed. Alcohol consumption is only allowed in the Ice Arena Lounge. Rollerblades, skateboards and heeleys are not allowed in the facility. Any signs, banners or postings on bulletin boards must be approved by the staff.
