The Broome County Arena is used as a sports facility most often, but it also serves as an excellent venue for concerts and major expos. It#25;s a sister site to the Forum Performing Arts Center, which was originally a stage theater, but was converted into the Capri movie house several decades ago. More recently, it was converted back into a venue for stage productions, and now houses both the Tri-Cities Opera and The Broadway Theatre League.
The Broome County Veteran#25;s Memorial Arena, often called simply the Broome County Arena, was built in 1973. It#25;s a mainstay of the downtown area, bringing in tourists and sports fans to the region#25;s restaurants and shops. As the home of the Binghamton Senators hockey team, many fans of the sport can be found in the Arena#25;s stands.
