The Calvin Theatre was one of the first run films for nearly 70 years in Massachusetts and is currently the largest theater in Northampton. In 1994 it briefly closed and now currently houses live performances with a new marquee and façade. Part of the Iron Horse Entertainment Group, which also includes the Iron Horse Music Hall, The Basement, the Pearl Street and The Pines Theater, it houses special events and great concerts annually.
The Calvin Theatre box office is open Monday through Saturday, 9am to 6pm and Sunday 12pm to 5pm. Doors open an hour before show begins. All shows are six years of age and older, unless otherwise noted, though children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Cameras and recording devices are not allowed inside the venue. All belongings are subject to search upon entering the building. Smoking is prohibited in the venue. Weapons, illegal drugs, backpacks, food or outside beverages (even bottled water) is not permitted inside the venue.
