In 2003, Diddle Arena underwent a major makeover. A $33 million renovation added state of the art video screens, allowing fans to cheer along while watching instant replays. Also, 16 luxury suites were added, giving hardcore fans a unique view of the court. Two practice courts, new men#25;s and women#25;s basketball locker rooms and an academic advising center were also added.
The home of the Hilltoppers, E.A. Diddle Arena has drawn Kentucky sports fans to games for decades. It was named after the WKU coach Edgar Allen Diddle, who is a Hall of Famer and is fondly remembered in the community. The Arena was dedicated in 1963 with a total seating capacity of 8,500 people. In time, that#25;s grown exponentially, and it now seats nearly 15,000.
