The Firestone Country Club is a private golf club if Akron Ohio that comprises three courses #19; North, South and West, which have each, respectively, held a televised golf event including the American Golf Classic, the CBS Golf Classic and the World Series of Golf in 1973. The venue is owned by Harvey Firestone, who commissioned the property in 1929 as a park for his Tire and Rubber Company employees.
During Firestone Country Club event days admission gates and welcome pavilion will open at 7:30am on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, 9am on Tuesday and Friday and will close one hour after play every day. American Express, MasterCard, Visa and cash are accepted. The Will Call hours are Monday, 9am to 5pm, Tuesday-Sunday: 7am. Will call is located in the parking lot of the Firestone Metropolitan Park on Warner Road, access is via S. Main Street or from Harrington Road. Accessible seating is available through phone, outlet and box office. Children under 12 years of age are admitted free. Youth 12-18 can purchase a ticket at the gate only on Tuesday through Sunday fro $15. The venue is smoke free inside tents. No food, coolers, signs, banners, cell phones, radios, televisions, firearms or explosive devices. Cameras and camcorders are not permitted. Chairs and stools must not be left unattended. No lounge chairs.
