The original Genesee Theatre opened its doors in 1927, seating 1,799 patrons and decorated with stunning tapestries and slabs of marble. The theatre was renovated in 2001 (reopening in 2004) and now sits at 115,000 square feet, seating over 2,400 guests while also adding to the grandeur of the venue with a Baccarat crystal chandelier that was originally located in Seattle’s Orpheum theatre.
The Genesee Theatre is located in between Milwaukee and Chicago and is a state-of-the-art facility that houses several productions through the year such as comedy acts, musical shows and concerts. The theatre has lounges on each floor that sell beverages and snacks. All major credit cards and cash are accepted. Will call is open one and a half hours prior to the event, and there are elevators to accommodate wheelchair seating.
