Originally named the Franklin Square Theatre, built in 1904, Edward Madaus and Paul Demoga founded the Worcester Center for Performing Arts in 2002 and acquired the building for their non-profit center. Its mission is #28;to create a vibrant cultural destination, bringing world-class theatre, music and entertainment events to central Massachusetts.#29;
The Hanover Theatre box office is open Monday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm; Sunday, only if there is a performance, 12 until curtain. To buy group tickets (20 or more) contact Brian Burke. To member a member, which includes a basic membership and a bronze membership, contact the venue. The space is available for rent. Handicap accessible; Seats 2,300; Volunteers are always desired.
