Seating a whopping 5,000 fans, the Hofstra University Arena was resurrected in 1999 to house the university#25;s men#25;s and women#25;s basketball, women#25;s volleyball and wrestling teams. The year the stadium opened for action, Hofstra#25;s Flying Dutchmen basketball team made the NCAA tournament, breaking in the state-of-the-art arena in style.
The Hofstra University Arena is home to the Hofstra University#25;s NCAA Division I men#25;s and women#25;s basketball, women#25;s volleyball and men#25;s wrestling teams. The venue also hosts a number of events throughout the year such as commencement, exhibitions, trade shows and concerts.
