From I-65: From I-465:
To get to the infield parking, exit at 30th St. and head west to Gate 10. You can also get to Lot 1C from 30th St. If you're coming from the northern region (I-465 or I-65), take I-465 West to the 36th St. or US136 exits. Both exits will get you to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Take Exit 14 (10th St.) to Lynhurst Dr. and go north. There's street parking on Lynhurst, or you can continue north and join the traffic on US136, Exit 16A. If you have a permit for a private lot (located west of the track), you must stay in the right lane. Otherwise, just follow attendants' directions.

Shuttle buses to the venue start running at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time from 4 different locations around Indianapolis. Tickets are round-trip and one-way and can be bought either at the departure locations or online in advance. For information on the shuttle service and purchasing tickets, please call 1.888.209.0226 or visit the Indy 500 Parking website.
You can bring your cooler into the speedway, but it must be no bigger than 14"x14"x14". Also allowed in are backpacks, purses, and other bags. The same size restriction applies.
You're allowed to bring in cameras, scanners, and binoculars. Also allowed are camera stands, as long as they remain on the ground and don't block the view. Please keep in mind that this equipment is not allowed in the stands.
You're welcome to bring your own food and beverages into the speedway, but please keep in mind that glass containers aren't allowed.

There are more than 250,000 permanent seats in the speedway.
Tailgating is allowed in lot North 40, which is the lot located off 30th St., just north of the track, and in Third Turn parking areas. It's okay to grill on small portable grills, but don't dump charcoal and ashes. You can also bring portable shelters, but they can't be bigger than 10'x10'. These are allowed only in the lots where tailgating is allowed and must be secured to your vehicle. Please set them up behind your vehicle and don't take up another parking spot or block pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
