The Kirk Douglas Theatre opened in 2004 and in its inaugural season six world premiers took the stage! The Kirk Douglas Theatre has hosted Come Back, Little Sheba, Sleeping Beauty Wakes, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and more thanks to artistic director Michael Ritchie. The Center Theatre Group offers Neighborhood Nights which include a ticket to the show and a private post-show talk-back and reception.
The Kirk Douglas Theatre is the newest and most intimate of Center Theatre Group’s family of theatre. The 300-seat Kirk Douglas Theatre joins the 745-seat Taper and the 1,6000-to-2,000-seat Ahmanson at the Los Angeles Music Center. The Kirk Douglas Theatre is wheel chair accessible and Phonic Ear sound system headsets are available for the hard of hearing.
