Originally instated in 1974, Columbia University#25;s Francis A. Levien Gymnasium is now one of the finest facilities in the Ivy League. The gym is home to the Columbia University Lions#25; men#25;s and women#25;s basketball programs, as well as volleyball and other campus recreational activity. Both chairback and bleacher-style seating are available.
The Francis A. Levien Gymnasium is located on Columbia University#25;s campus and is the home to the university#25;s men#25;s and women#25;s basketball and volleyball teams. The gym is part of the Marcellus Hartley Dodge Physical Fitness Center and underwent complete refurbishment in 2002 to install a state-of-the-art floor onto the gymnasium. The Levien Gym seats 3,400 sports enthusiasts and is also an intramural facility.
