The Lila Cockrell Theatre is named after the great Lila Cockrell, a former mayor of San Antonio who was the first female mayor of a large metropolitan city. Cockrell served as an officer in the United States Navy before serving three terms as mayor of the Texas city, and she was honored with a performing arts center in San Antonio in her name. The Lila Cockrell Theatre attracts conferences, meetings and expos as well as entertainment events throughout the year.
San Antonio#25;s Lila Cockrell Theatre is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose performing arts center in Texas and hosts a plethora of entertainment acts throughout the year including ballet, symphony and drama events. The theatre is located on the east side of the famous Riverwalk at the Convention Center Complex and seats 2,521 patrons on three different levels. The box office is open on the days of events during various hours, and will call is available to pick up tickets 90 minutes prior to the event. Cash only is accepted at the venue.
