The Lynn Memorial Auditorium opened in 1948 and has hosted such acts as The Beach Boys, Billy Preston, Delaney & Bonnie, Roy Orbison, Fats Domino and more. During the #24;70s it wasn#25;t used as often, before Major Edward Clancy took over the building in 2002. The building saw renovations that returned the Lynn Memorial building to its former glory, with performances by Peter Paul & Mary, Jeff Corwin and more.
The Lynn Memorial Auditorium box office is open Monday through Thursday, 10am to 2:30pm, and Friday 10am to 12:30. The City Hall hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 to 4pm, Tuesday, 8:30 to 6pm and Friday, 8:30am to 12:30pm; tickets can be picked up at the community development during normal city hall hours. Personal checks must be presented 10 business days prior to event. The Lynn Memorial Auditorium is located in the middle of City Hall. It has 2,078 seats. Concession stands are located on the main floor foyer and 3rd floor balcony, closing 30 minutes after intermission.
