The Majestic Theatre first opened in 1927 and was specifically designed for musical theater. It has been the venue of choice for some of the most riveting musicals on stage over the years. More recently, it has been known as the home for The Phantom of the Opera, which has been showing at the Majestic Theatre since 1988 and is the longest running show on Broadway.
The theater recommends booking tickets well in advance to ensure the best seats. The doors to the theater open 45 minutes prior to the show. All shows at the Majestic Theatre are recommended for children 12 and up and patrons are asked specifically not to bring children under four. There are listening devices available for use free of charge.
