Directions: From the 101 South, Take Highway 1/19th Avenue exit and turn right on Anza then turn right on 14th avenue. Take a right on Geary Blvd then turn right on Parker. Turn left on Golden Gate Avenue. The gym is on the right side, located at 2335 Golden Gate Avenue. From the Bay Bridge, follow signs to 101 South and then follow the 9th Street exit. Stay on 9th Street as it turns into Larkin St. Turn left onto Turk Street and then turn left on Tamalpais. Turn right on Golden Gate Avenue. The gym is on the right side, located at 2335 Golden Gate Avenue. From Highway 280, teak the 19th Avenue exit. Turn right on Fulton Street and then turn left on Parker. Turn Right on Golden Gate Avenue. The gym is on the right side, located at 2335 Golden Gate Avenue.
Parking around the University of San Francisco can often be tricky. Most of the lots are permit lots, and you can sometimes get a visitors permit. Other parking will be fee parking around War Memorial Gymnasium. The best advice for parking is to arrive early in order to secure a spot in one of the nearby parking lots.
The War Memorial Gymnasium is dedicated to those who lost their lives in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. The gymnasium houses the jerseys of all of the USF players whose numbers have been returned like Bill Cartwright and Phil Smith. It has been through numerous renovations over the years to keep it in top condition.
The War Memorial Gymnasium is the facility used for all of the home events for the University of San Francisco#25;s men#25;s basketball team, women#25;s basketball team and women#25;s volleyball team. The gates as well as the will call window both open one hour prior to the start of the event. All animals except service animals are prohibited along with cans, glass containers, lawn furniture and weapons. There is also no smoking in the aisles and seating sections.
