Music City#25;s Mercy Lounge is a music venue that includes the Cannery Ballroom and was constructed in the late 1800s as a flour mill, eventually opening into a restaurant in the 1970s. Now known as one of Nashville#25;s premier locations for music, the Mercy Lounge has hosted headliners over the years such as Jane#25;s Addiction, Lenny Kravitz, Iggy Pop, Big & Rich, Cat Power, Five for Fighting, Gretchen Wilson, Kid Rock, the Shins, Yo La Tengo and many more.
The Mercy Lounge is open Monday thru Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sundays for various special occasions. Events at the venue are 21 and up unless otherwise specified. Capacity for Mercy Lounge is 500 at standing room. The venue features S-shaped bars, vintage furniture, red-felt pool tables and pinball machines that provide more entertainment aside from the lounge#25;s live music.
