From the North:
Take 35-W south. Head east on Hwy. 36. Exit at Snelling Ave. south.
From the South:
Take 35-E to I-94 East. Exit on Snelling Ave. Turn left to head north.
From the East:
Take I-94 West. Exit on Snelling Ave. Make a right.
From the West:
Take I-94 East. Exit on Snelling Ave. Turn left.
There are plenty of parking lots nearby. To park behind or around the Grandstand, enter via Gate #0 or Gate #15. Lots are first-come, first-served, and spaces are not guaranteed.
There are ATMs on the premises, noted with a "$" on the State Fair map.
You'll need a valid ticket to be admitted into the fairground, including if you're attending Grandstand concerts. Concert tickets to don't include admission to the fair.
There's beer for sale during open hours. Sales in the Grandstand cease about 1 hour before the end of the performance. No alcohol is allowed in or out of the venue.
You can bring backpacks, bags, or coolers, but they may be searched. Alcohol isn't allowed. Coolers aren't allowed into the Grandstand or the Warner Coliseum.
Cameras are okay, but you can't make audio or video recordings of entertainment stages. For some Grandstand performances, even still photography may be restricted. If you have questions call 651.288.4427.
There are plenty of concessions at the fairgrounds.
Disabled parking is available on the premises in most State Fair lots. There's a free Park & Ride Lot with a wheelchair-accessible bus on the north side of Oscar Johnson Arena, south of the fairgrounds. To access it, exit Snelling Ave. at Energy Park Dr. and head east past the Merrill Corp office buildings. The bus runs non-stop to the fairgrounds and makes pick-ups approximately every 20 minutes from 8:00 a.m. Central time - midnight.
Guests may be dropped off at the Como Loop Gate #9. This brings you right to Hometown Mobility, an independant concessions renting manual wheelchairs and electric scooters, as well as strollers and wagons.
There are food and drinks for purchase inside the Grandstand. Coolers aren't allowed.
Have small medical problems taken care of at the Red Cross booth on the east end of the Grandstand Plaza, near the elevator. If there's a serious problem, call an usher.
All restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
There's no smoking in Grandstand seating areas, but it is allowed on the plaza level, behind the white lines on the east and west end. If you need directions, ask an usher.
Pick up your will call tickets at the east end of the Grandstand, up to 1.5 hours before the event. After the show begins, unclaimed tickets are taken to the gate. Tickets are only released to those whose name is on the enveloped or provided in the transaction. You'll need a photo ID, confirmation number, and purchasing credit card.
