Middle Tennessee State University#25;s Charles M. Murphy Athletic Center was built in 1973 and is part of the Murphy Center Complex that also includes the Alumni Memorial Gym, Johnny #28;Red#29; Floyd Stadium, Granville #28;Buck#29; Bouldin Tennis Courts, Reese Smith Field and more. The Murphy Athletic Center is home to the Blue Raiders and Lady Raiders basketball teams and has also hosted several famed artists for concerts over the past several years, including Elvis Presley, Garth Brooks, Elton John and Kiss.
The Murphy Athletic Center is home to the Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raiders basketball team and Lady Raiders basketball and volleyball teams. The MTSU athletic teams play home games at the Monte Hale Arena, which seats 11,520 Blue Raiders fans. All major credit cards and cash are accepted for advance sales, but cash only is accepted on game days. The box office is open Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and will call is available 1 ½ hours prior to events. No outside food or beverage, alcohol or drugs are permitted into the venue. Handicap accessible seating is available.
