Oklahoma State Fair Arena is also known as State Fair Arena and #28;The Big House.#29; The multi-purpose arena is located in west Oklahoma City on the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds and seats 10,944. When it first opened, the venue was called the James Norick State Fair Arena, name for the city#25;s mayor at the time. After the ford Center and the Cox Convention Center, the Oklahoma State Fair Arena is the third largest-city owned multipurpose arena.
Oklahoma State fair Arena primarily hosts rodeos, horse shows and other equine events in addition to concerts and sporting events. Oklahoma State Fair Arena hosted the Oklahoma high school basketball playoffs and was home to the Oklahoma City Blazers Central Hockey League Franchise from 1965 to 1977.
