The current Opera House was originally the BF Keith theater but when a flood destroyed everything in 1991 at the orginal venue, Boston#25;s mayor put together a 30 million dollar renovation project that revamped the Opera House to become a resource for today#25;s hottest Broadway and musical acts around, with past performances including The Lion King, Hairspray and Les Miserables to The White Stripes, David Copperfield and Chris Botti.
