The Oriental Theater was first built in 1927, designed by architect Leo A. Desjardins. The original capacity was 1,306, which has been pared down to 704 over the years. In 1997, it was designated on the National Register of Historic Places and the Colorado Register of Historic Places. The theater went through a total renovation in 2005.
The box office for the Oriental Theater is open during show times, which start at 8pm or earlier. The box office is open at other times as well, call to find out. The restaurant Lakeside Waffles is located at the same locations, and menu items are often available during the shows. With the setup of the Oriental Theater, most patrons will have a close view of the stage.
