The Palace Theatre- NY opened in 1913 and was the pre-eminent vaudeville theatre in the nation, hosting entertainers such as Judy Garland, Will Rogers, Bette Midler and Diana Ross, among others. The Nederlander turned it into a legitimate theatre in 1965 and since then shows like Aida and Man of La Mancha have taken the stage.
The Palace Theatre- NY has 1,740 seats and is one of the nine Broadway theatres of The Nederlander Organization. Smoking is prohibited at the Palace Theatre. There are bars located on all levels of the theatre and concessions are available on the Orchestra and Mezzanine level, where souvenirs can also be purchased.
