The Palace Theatre opened as the Manos Theatre in 1926 and has been a major force in Westmoreland County ever since. The Palace Theatre has hosted Joan Baez, Buddy Guy, The Oak Ridge Boys, Kevin James, Frankie Avalon, Irish Tenor Ronan Tynan, Wayne Newton, Tom Jones, Bill Cosby, Neil Sedaka and more. The Palace Theatre was renovated in 2004 and has been under operation by the Keb Mo. Westmoreland Cultural Trust since 1990.
The Palace Theatre is home to the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra and is a regional venue for River City Brass Band. The 1,320-seat facility is wheelchair accessible. All patrons, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the management. Hearing-assist units are available at no charge from the House Manager.
