Paramount Theatre opened in 1931 and was designed by nationally renowned theater architects C.W. and George L. Rapp. Theater owner J.J. Rubens sold the company to the Paramount Famous Lasky Corporation and in 1976 the Aurora Civic Center purchased the Paramount and closed its doors for renovation. The Paramount reopened in 1978 and in 2006 a lobby was added.
The Box Office is open Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:00pm. Saturday 1:00pm-5:00pm. The café and gift shop are open 1 hour prior to showtime and through intermission. Wheelchair seating is available on the main floor with prior notice only. Flash photography/recording devices are strictly prohibited. Hearing assistance devices are available. Group discounts are available.
