The Pasadena Civic Auditorium was built in 1931 and first opened one year later. It is still considered one of the most well-known performance halls in the nation and continually plays host to Broadway musicals, world class ballets, symphony orchestras and celebrity speakers. It also is the space for the Prime Time Emmy Awards and the People#25;s Choice Awards.
The main floor at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium currently has 1,922 fixed seats, along with 98 installable orchestra pit seats. The loge seats 56 patrons and the upper balcony seats 449 people. The totally capacity at the auditorium is 3,029. The classic Gold Room also provides a great setting for meetings, receptions or dinner parties and can accommodate up to 300 guests.
