The Richard Rodgers Theatre first opened in 1924 and was originally named the 46th Street Theatre before it was renamed in 1990 to honor the legendary composer Richard Rodgers. It has hosted Broadway#25;s greatest hits, including Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, Damn Yankees, Chicago, and Movin#25; Out. The theater seats 1,319 and is one of The Nederlander Organization#25;s nine Broadway theatres.
Richard Rodgers Theatre Box Office hours are Monday through Saturday 10am to 8:30pm, Sunday 12pm to 6pm. The Box Office opens one hour prior to show and accepts Cash, American Express, Visa and MasterCard. There is no dress code at the theatre. All patrons, including children, must have a ticket. For parties of twenty or more, arrangements should be made with Nederlander Group Sales (212-840-3890). Wheelchair access is available, as is services for individuals with disabilities including guide dog and animal services and headsets for those with hearing disabilities. No recording devices are allowed in the theater, including still cameras.
Tickets can be picked up at the box office on the day of the selected performance. Box office hours for most theatres are 10am - 8pmET. All ticketholders must present a valid ID at time of pickup. NO EXCEPTIONS.
