Although the National Indoor Football League vanished in 2007, the San Antonio Rose Palace has continued to flourish without its home team the San Antonio Steers. The venue now annually hosts one of the biggest rodeo events of the year, the George Strait Team Roping Classic, and tickets sell out very quickly for the event. The facility has also been used in the past for trade shows, chili cook-offs, family reunions, barbecues and square dances.
The San Antonio Rose Palace is located in the Leon Springs area of San Antonio, Texas and was home to the National Indoor Football League#25;s San Antonio Steers until 2007. The venue holds 4,500 patrons and is often used for equestrian shows and rodeos, as well as other entertainment events and meetings. The Rose Palace includes outdoor and covered arenas including two lighted outdoor arenas, a snack bar, 28 wash racks and 536 permanent stalls. Group tickets are available for the event and the facility can be rented out, as well. No outside food, beverages or alcohol are allowed inside the facility.
